Amazon UK vs Boots vs Superdrug for the same hydrocolloid pack

How to compare Amazon UK, Boots, and Superdrug when you want the same plain hydrocolloid spot-patch pack, not a different box.

This is general information, not medical advice. For deep, painful, or recurring spots, see a GP.

You already want a plain hydrocolloid spot patch. The next choice is the shop: Amazon UK, Boots, or Superdrug. Before you compare the till totals, check you are looking at the same pack. A lower price only helps if the count, the sizes, and the name on the box still match.

Hydrocolloid is the cheap round dressing, roughly 15–40p a disc. It collects fluid from a whitehead, an open spot, or anything already weeping. A closed early bump is a microdart job, typically £0.60–£2.50+ a cone, so check the retailer before you stock up. Anything deep, painful, cystic, or recurring needs a GP. The hydrocolloid vs microdart comparison is that fork. This page is about where to buy the plain disc you already meant to get.

The same pack is not on all three shelves

On this site, the two named hydrocolloid boxes do not share one stockist list. They are two shop comparisons.

COSRX Master Patch is a 24-patch mixed-size sheet. You peel different diameters off the same film. The named paths are Amazon UK and Superdrug, often listed around £5.99. Boots is not a listed stockist for that sheet here. If the Superdrug search shows a different count, that is a different buy.

Mighty Patch Original is one everyday size, 36 times. Boots has shown about £8.79 / 36. Amazon UK lists that 36-pack in a band around £10–12. Hero UK and Tesco also stock it. Superdrug is not a listed stockist for Mighty Patch on this site.

A COSRX sheet and a Mighty Patch box are different cartons. Mixed diameters versus one repeated size matters when you come to use them. The COSRX vs Mighty Patch guide is that comparison. Stay on one carton while you pick Amazon, Boots, or Superdrug.

Divide the box before you pick a till

Everyday hydrocolloid sits in that 15–40p band because pack prices move. Inside the band, the shop only wins after you count the discs.

COSRX at the often-listed £5.99 for 24 is about 25p a disc, at Superdrug or on Amazon UK. Check both on the day. A few pence either way leaves the job of the disc unchanged.

Mighty Patch at the listed Amazon band of £10–12 for 36 lands nearer 28–33p a disc. The Boots figure of about £8.79 / 36 is back around 24p — the same neighbourhood as the COSRX sheet, with twelve extra discs of one size. For the Mighty Patch 36-pack on its own, that Boots ticket can beat the Amazon listing. It does not automatically beat a COSRX 24-count, because that is a different box with mixed sizes.

A dip on Amazon, or a higher high-street price, can flip the ranking in a week. Treat every figure here as a snapshot. Check the retailer, then divide the price by the number of discs on that exact listing. If the disc stays clear after a proper night, the shop was fine and the format was wrong.

When the high street beats the parcel

Buy in the shop when the spot is already here. A whitehead will not wait for a parcel. An Amazon box that lands after the spot has gone has missed the week you bought it for, even if the pence-per-disc looked better the night before.

Superdrug is the walk-in for the COSRX mixed sheet, when that listing around £5.99 is actually on the shelf or the site. The mix helps when your spots are not one diameter. If you only peel the tiny ones, you are paying for discs you leave on the sheet.

Boots is the walk-in for Mighty Patch Original when the 36-pack is in stock around £8.79. One size, repeated. That suits a spot the everyday diameter already covers, with a rim of clean skin. A chin crease that needs a smaller disc will fight that single size. The Original pack stays one diameter in Boots and on an Amazon listing of the same 36-count.

Amazon UK fits when the listing is the pack you meant — the 24 mixed COSRX sheet, or 36 Mighty Patch Original — and you can wait, or you are topping up a box you already use. The count on the page has to match the count you divided. A different count under a familiar name is a different buy. Hero UK and Tesco stay the other Mighty Patch paths if you are already in that shop. Full stockist notes are on where to buy hydrocolloid patches.

Match the pack count in the title to the box. Listing photos get reused. The number of patches written next to the price is what you can check before you pay.

What is not the same pack

A cheaper sticker in the same aisle is a different product. Own-label hydrocolloid, star-shaped discs, and patches sold with extra “active” claims are separate from COSRX and Mighty Patch. This page leaves those alone.

A microdart cone is a different spend, aimed at a closed early bump. If you only need fluid collected from a whitehead or an open spot, stay on hydrocolloid and change the shop.

The shop will not fix a disc that peeled off by morning. Dry skin, no moisturiser on that exact spot, and a size that covers still decide the hold. The sticking steps are in the overnight apply guide.

Where to buy in the UK

Hydrocolloid is the cheap format: roughly 15–40p a patch, though pack prices move. For the COSRX 24-patch mixed sheet, compare Amazon UK with Superdrug. It is often listed around £5.99. Check both on the day. For Mighty Patch Original, compare the same 36-pack at Boots, which has shown about £8.79 / 36, against the Amazon UK band around £10–12, plus Hero UK and Tesco. The stockist list for both packs is on where to buy hydrocolloid patches.

More pack notes sit in all guides. If you are still choosing a format rather than a shop, start with hydrocolloid vs microdart.
